Perfect Mashed Potatoes

Producing homemade mashed potatoes is indeed easy, it could make no feeling for you yourself to reach for immediate ones.


  • 3 lb. potatoes (about 4 large, combo of russets and Yukon Golds)
  • Kosher salt
  • 1 stay butter, plus 2 tablespoons for garnish
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • Freshly ground dark pepper


  1. In a big pot, cover up potatoes with drinking water and put in a nice pinch of sodium. Bring to a boil and prepare until totally smooth, 16 to 18 moments. Drain and come back potatoes to container.
  2. Work with a potato masher to mash potatoes until easy.
  3. Meanwhile, in a little saucepan, melt butter and dairy until warm.
  4. Pour over warm milk-butter combination and mix until completely mixed and creamy. Include sour lotion and mix until combined.
  5. Time of year mashed potatoes generously with sodium and pepper.
  6. Transfer potatoes to some serving dish and best with staying two tablespoons butter. Time of year with an increase of pepper before helping.
